ocpp-proxy

A simple 1-1 OCPP proxy.

ocpp-proxy sits between a charger and a single central management system (CSMS/server) and transparently relays OCPP WebSocket messages in both directions. This is useful, for example, to terminate the charger's connection locally (e.g. for logging, TLS termination, or network reasons) while still forwarding everything unmodified to the real CSMS.

The rules are simple:

  1. All messages received from the charger are forwarded to the server, unmodified.
  2. All messages received from the server are forwarded to the charger, unmodified.

Unlike a full OCPP-aware proxy, messages are not parsed or interpreted (beyond the WebSocket framing) - it is a transparent pass-through relay.

Usage

Review and update configuration in ocpp-proxy.ini. Start the proxy with:

python ocpp-proxy.py

Docker

Dockerfile and compose.yaml files are included for completeness.
