How to get the Dock Band?

Description

When pinning Weather to the dock, I only see the icon + Weather text in the dock, but not the actual weather of my favorite city.
Can you help?

Steps to Reproduce

Right click Weather in command palette list.
Select pin to dock.

Expected Behavior

Should see the actual weather info of favorite city.

Actual Behavior

Only general "Weather" icon + text.

Open the weather extension, search for the location you want, right click on it and press Pin to Dock

Then you are not on version 1.2.1.0 as your issue suggested. 😄

Upgrade to the latest version.

Wow! There's got to be something weird here. Like, any chance you've got two versions installed? The screenshot you posted of your context menu is outdated. Maybe a restart of CmdPal/Weather Extension. Maybe uninstall/reinstall? I'm blown away. Heck, maybe a bug report?

I need a bit more information to really debug this issue. Can you add a "Submit a Bug Report" zip file here?

Before you generate the bug report, please make sure to reproduce the issue you are having with the extension. This will ensure that the logs contain the relevant information to help me debug the issue.

Then, use the context menu for Weather in Command Palette and go to Submit a Bug Report. Then use the "Save Logs to Desktop" command to save the logs to your desktop. Finally, drag the zip file from your desktop onto the GitHub comment box in this issue.

This will let me review the logs of the extension to see what error is occurring so we can get it working for you. 👍🏼

I did an uninstall + reinstall, but still the same issue.
The Submit a Bug Report button is not working for me.
I can click it many times, but nothing is generated on my desktop.

So, on re-install you have the Submit a Bug Report option? Can you give me details about your install? Like, from the repo, MS Store, winget? Can you confirm no other versions exist on your machine?

I think the Submit a Bug Report button was already there I think. Isn't this coming from Powertoys itself?
I first installed from MS Store, but that gave an old version 1.1.0.0, or something. Then installed from Winget, which gave 1.2.1.0 but was side-by-side with 1.1.0.0.
So I uninstalled everything and installed via Winget, which gave only 1.2.1.0.

Maybe there are some leftovers from 1.1.0.0 that cause this?

If you right click on the Weather extension, the "Submit a Bug Report" context menu item is in Weather extension. It zips up the Weather extension logs and puts that zip file on your desktop.

That's my only guess. In 1.1.0.0, pinning was different. You should see Pin to Dock and Pin to Favorites on any list item in the weather extension. (List item being the location.

So how do we continue?
I can select the "Submit a Bug Report" option but then the "Save Logs to Desktop" doesn't do anything for me.

"Pin to Dock" is available at extension level, but not at city level...

This one was a doozy. I think I've found the issue. Version 1.2.1.0 published to the MS store was actually 1.1.0.0. Working to make sure the installers loaded to the store are correct. Will update when I can confirm that.
