[Feature Request] status of get-image branch (commit 5e75e14) and possibility to merge into master

Hi maintainers,

I’m using jArchi and I noticed the get-image branch from 2024, including this commit:

• 5e75e14

From my understanding, this would help scripts retrieve diagram images (including base64 use cases), which would be very useful for static export scenarios.

1. What are the reasons this change has not been merged into master yet ? Is there a specific issue ?
2. Would you consider merging it ?
3. If merging is not planned, what is the recommended alternative API/pattern for this use case today ?

I used it, it works perfectly.

As with all the many feature requests, the answer is simple - there's only one of me.

I guess when I clear all the other thousand things on the to-do list I'll take another look at this one.

I've had some time to look at this again.

5e75e14 wasn't merged because it was an experiment and I was unsure if the API is OK or whether it would be useful.

If it is useful and the API seems OK then it can be merged for the next version of jArchi.

Edit - the commit has been rebased to branch https://github.com/archimatetool/archi-scripting-plugin/tree/get-image

Hi,

This is definitely useful (Lilians and I are working together on topics that need such feature). Re the API itself, I'll have a look to see what's the best way to add it (I have several options in mind)
