tently-review
GitHub App
Tently is the institutional memory for your codebase. It learns the architectural decisions behind your code — from merged pull requests and review discussions — and checks every new pull request against them, so the reasons behind your code survive team changes and AI-generated diffs.
What it does
- Mines decisions from your repository's pull-request history into a searchable decision store.
- Reviews pull requests against those decisions and reports conflicts as a check run and a review comment, citing the decision it relies on.
- Guides coding agents at write time through the Tently MCP server, so Claude Code and other agents follow your conventions before a PR is opened.
Permissions
| Permission | Access | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Contents | Read | Read code and history to mine decisions and review diffs |
| Pull requests | Read & write | Read PR discussions and post review comments |
| Checks | Read & write | Report review results as a check run |
| Metadata | Read | Required by GitHub |
Your code
Source is cloned with a short-lived installation token, processed in an isolated sandbox and discarded. Tently never stores your source code — only the decisions, embeddings and metadata it derives.
Getting started
- Install the app on the repositories you want Tently to learn from.
- You're sent back to app.tently.dev with the repos added and indexing started.
Installing on an organization requires an org owner. Other members can request the install, and GitHub will ask an owner to approve it.
