Issue

After selecting an email (especially those with attachments), the body of message displays “Loading…” indicator for an extended period of time before displaying anything. Viewing emails with the extension disabled is instantaneous.

This is a bug with Mail. If you're experiencing this issue, please help by reporting this directly to Apple via Feedback Assistant referencing FB12796974.

UPDATE: Bug still happens as of Sonoma 14.5 but Apple has finally acknowledged the issue and is tracking this issue internally

I just checked my Feedback Assistant ticket again and it doesn't seem like they've included any fix in 14.6. No indication of which OS will ship with the fix yet.

It seems to me that things are getting worse and worse.
Since macOS 14.6.1, I have also had to deactivate it because the loading times are no longer acceptable.

No updates from Apple. I tested 14.7 and 15.0 just in case and there doesn't seem to be any changes there.

In 1.1.7, I've brought back the Content Blocker "block-only" extension. Enable this and disable the main extension for the time being. Emails will load as fast as before and trackers will be blocked. This lacks labeling functionality however. This is my workaround for now.

This is the only working fix for now, thanks for providing it. Unfortunate situation.
Running Sequoia 15.1 here and still has the bug.
