Play 2026-08-21 evening, http://127.0.0.1:4220/. System overview Explore next (enabled) → Scan complete / Retry scout. Discover Searches run goes 0 → 1 while the red banner still says credential-blocked and Discover’s own Start heuristic scan is disabled. Discover scans tile stays 0.

Not #28 (the button staying clickable when the key is missing). That issue does not mention after-click success chrome or Searches run vs scans vs the blocked banner.

Why it matters

One click increments Searches run and claims Scan complete while the same desk still says blocked and scans stay 0. The operator cannot tell a blocked no-op from a real scout.

Proposed direction (not a spec)

Keep the button chrome, Searches run, scans, and the blocked banner on one truth. After-click honesty only. Do not add a spend path.
