Over 100% Download status, more than the video's size

Steps to reproduce the bug

Expected behavior

1. Instead of transcribing the downloaded video Newpipe will continue to download over. Eg. The video size is 100MB but when this happens Newpipe will still continue to use data connection and still download @ 160MB or so. (You can actually see it on the screenshot.🙂)
2. The downloaded file will get corrupt sometimes loss of metadata or IRR.

Actual behaviour

1. Newpipe forgot that it goes over the expected size and percentage.
2. Even the video goes over 100% download status, you can go to file manager and you'll still able to play the video perfectly. (I Still didn't know if Newpipe given enough time will overwrite the downloaded video)

I thought this bug only persist on the early Newpipe debug application V. 0.19.8 but it's not it is still on official 0.19.8 application.

I am currently using Android 10 and i tried many resolutions many different smartphones(Android Pie,Oreo) happens with almost every video above 20MB).
Hope this serious bug will be fixed soon.

@mohsinanayat: Have you enabled SAF in the settings? What video did the issue happen on (link)?

I use internal storage so i think SAF enabling is not necessary?

Got the same issue too. I suspect it's because the download was interrupted due to my poor internet connection.

When downloading, I'd unpause-pause it several times during it. It only downloaded like 10 extra MBs, though. IIRC the % only went as high as something like 100.90%.

Got the same issue too. I suspect it's because the download was interrupted due to my poor internet connection.

A user showed me the same issue on their Newpipe v0.28.2 install, where a download was over 100%. They could confirm that the download was (likely) interrupted from the app becoming unresponsive and Android presenting a modal asking whether to wait or close the app (they selected 'wait', on two occasions during this).
