Screen stays on when no video is playing (wakelock issue?)

Steps to reproduce the bug

1. Play a video
2. Don't interact with the video after it finished.
3. Phone stays on for hours.

Second way:

1. Play a video
2. Stop the video and go to main view, Tab Life
3. Don't interact with the phone for hours.
4. Phone/Tablet stays on for hours.

Expected behavior

The wakelock is released and the phone will switch off the screen after a timeout.

Actual behavior

The phone's screen stays on until the battery runs out.

This issue is not consistently replicable for me. Is it consistent for you? Sometimes it does not lock the screen and a lot of times it does. Are you able to capture any kind of logs if you are able to replicate it? Also, if it is inconsistent, it might be for specific videos (although I highly doubt it), so share the video link as well.
