Hi there 👋🏻
I have an idea, that I think will require less work to implement, and yield a great benefit for downloads. 🙂
Can the audio selection of the codec for a download simply count for the video download?
Selecting a codec and bitrate here, could simply influence the music codec used for the video download.
It can be shown in the video download selector, by including the chosen audio quality and codec in paranthesis next to the individual videos resolutions.
Such as:
1080p (opus 160kbit)
720p (opus 160kbit)
Or its shown once at the top, something like this.
I appreciate your engagement!
Why do you want this feature?
I download videos that contain a single, almost non-moving video stream, and music.
The music is the actual goal here, and I want to preserve the video image nonetheless.
The download size for the 1080p version is usually 3 times bigger than for the 720p version, and similar large steps follow after that.
I currently have no way of saying "I want the highest audio quality" and "I want a low video size" in the same download.
Thanks a lot! 🥳
