Optimising memory and code cleanup are two completely different things.

Code cleanup is already part of the rewrite, so that aspect of this issue has been addressed.

Although memory optimisation is something we need to do, just having a generic "optimise memory" issue is not very useful because it's not targeting a specific thing to optimise.

You haven't given any information on where you are experiencing memory issues, or how you know the memory is unoptimised, what you have done to confirm this, how we can reproduce it, what Android version this happens on, etc.

So there's not really anything that can be done based on this issue as it is right now.

Could you please provide more information on how you are experiencing memory issues?
