Steps to reproduce the bug

Version: 0.28.0 (from F-Droid)
Android: 7.1.1
Device: [dein Tablet-Modell]

Problem:
Video thumbnails are not showing in list/search view. Only video titles are visible, no preview images.

What I tried:

• Checked all settings in Configurações/Aparência
• Found "Pré-visualização da miniatura na barra de busca" (seekbar thumbnails) but no option for list thumbnails
• WiFi connection is good
• App cache cleared

Expected behavior:
Video thumbnails should be visible in search results and video lists (like they are in YouTube)

Note:
This is for elderly users who need the visual recognition of thumbnails. The lack of preview images makes the app very difficult to use for them.

You should also provide settings names in English when create issues for easier triaging. Did you try "Settings->Content->Image Quality"?

I seem to have the same issue, and unfortunately this does not help
