[Feature Request] Add comment sorting options (e.g. newest, top)

Feature description

Currently, NewPipe only loads one set of comments (seems to match YouTube’s “Top comments”). There is no option to sort comments by Newest first, which makes it impossible to see the latest activity on a video.

It would be very useful to have sorting options similar to YouTube:

Newest first

Why do you want this feature?

Essential for staying up-to-date with ongoing conversations.

Increases parity with YouTube’s comment experience.

Many users rely on seeing the latest comment activity—helpful for community engagement.

I totally second this feature request. It makes no sense that comments must be listed with a totally random time order !

Also, I disagree with the arrogance by developers to criticize duplicates. They likely never added a bug report, so they can't realize that the search feature often provides inconclusive results, and if one posts a duplicate it's not always entirely his fault ! One simply can't check thousands issues by hand one by one.

Marking duplicates is a completely normal thing to do, issues need to be organized so developers (who are mostly volunteers in case you didn't know) can work on them efficiently.

They likely never added a bug report, so they can't realize that the search feature often provides inconclusive results, and if one posts a duplicate it's not always entirely his fault

No one said it was his fault, but rather he was politely told to search with different keywords, which is a useful tip to help him search for duplicates next time.

As mentioned above, just search with different keywords. Taking five minutes to search for duplicates can save hours for volunteers dealing with them daily.
