Feature description
general info:
if you try to open a "+18" video, you will be met with a fullscreen error about saying that the video cannot be played.
but if you open the said video on YouTube website, the error only will appear on the player and the comments will still load and you will be able to read them.
implementation in NewPipe:
the error screen for age restriction would appear not as a fullscreen error, but as a pop-up with the information about the video being restricted and an "OK" button (more info in "Additional information" section). therefore, comments would load and be readable. on place where the video would play, a video's thumbnail would be loaded.
Why do you want this feature?
it would be nice to at least view the comments of these videos.
here are some examples I would find the case of being this feature useful:
- "law and crime" videos - could read discussions about the things happening in the video
- some age-restricted music videos - would see how people respond to the song and visuals ("bad or good song", "performance", etc.)
- accident videos - looking for comments that might give some background information about some clips
- comedy videos - some content might be too mature for some audiences but I still wanna see people reacting in comments to hilarious moments
