Fetching a large number of subscriptions is slow

Steps to reproduce the bug

Update the feed using either the fast or standard mode

Expected behavior

Fetching subscriptions with the same speed as previous releases

Actual behavior

When fetching the subscriptions it seems to freeze for a few seconds then resumes at a normal speed
