How to get rid of Shorts in search results

Before dismissing this as duplicate please read: all related discussions I could find are rather inherent to "shorts in feed". This topic is related to shorts in search results instead. Also, I noticed somebody issued a relevant Feature Request once, which was trashed as duplicate, despite I could not find any similar issue said feature request would be a duplicate of.

Question: YT is plagued by those annoying pointless vertical short videos which some people keep spamming with. They are especially annoying when searching: in some cases, 9 of 10 results of your search are pointless Shorts. Pipe Pipe has an effective option to remove them. I was wondering if New Pipe had any hidden option to do the same, and if not, if there are any plans to add this useful feature, which would be much appreciated. Note: there is just an option to remove Shorts from Feeds, but that is a completely different matter. Thanks in advance.
