The Resource Engine (Configs/quickshell/aphotic/services/profile/) is an
original design and implementation. Its architecture is described in the
project documentation. That description is published as prior art: it
exists so the design stays available to everyone, including its authors.
The theme engine (Configs/hypr/scripts/wallswitcher.py, Configs/wallust/,
Configs/matugen/ and Configs/quickshell/aphotic/services/Colours.qml) is
an original design and implementation. It drives a colour backend from a
per-theme pin, clamps the derived palette to that theme's anchor so a
wallpaper cannot pull a theme off its own identity, and hands the result
to plugins through a palette template. Published as prior art on the same
terms as the Resource Engine above.
The desktop pet runtime lives in the plugin repository and carries its
own notice there.
