Updated work duration is ignored until the timer is reset #501

Description

@zeguang-cai

Description

Changing the Pomodoro/work duration does not take effect when the timer is started directly. The timer still starts with (or returns to) the previous/default 25-minute duration. The new duration only takes effect after clicking Reset first.

Environment

  • OS: Windows
  • Distribution: Portable build
  • Pomotroid version: 1.7.1 (latest release)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Pomotroid with the work duration set to the default 25 minutes.
  2. Change the Pomodoro/work duration to a different value.
  3. Return to the timer without clicking Reset.
  4. Click Start.

Expected behavior

The timer should start using the newly configured work duration immediately.

Actual behavior

The timer starts with or restores the previous/default 25-minute duration. Clicking Reset before Start is required for the new duration to take effect.

Additional context

A GIF recording demonstrating the behavior is available and can be provided if needed.
