From 798f44be06915f245d9a45925763638958407b03 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Matt Jones <47545907+SoundMatt@users.noreply.github.com> Date: Tue, 18 Aug 2026 15:14:21 -0700 Subject: [PATCH] feat: git-diff-scoped analysis (cfusa check --changed-since) New `cfusa check --changed-since ` flag scopes the report to only findings on lines actually touched since -- a project can gate CI on just the NEW findings a change introduces, without needing #208's baseline mechanism (the two are independent; use either, or both -- --changed-since is applied first, before dispositions/baseline, so those lookups never have to consider a finding already dropped). New src/gitdiff.c/include/cfusa/gitdiff.h: - cfusa_git_changed_lines_load(dir, ref, out): runs `git -C dir diff --unified=0 -- .` with no shell (pipe() + fork() + execvp("git", ...) with a literal program name, the exact safe subprocess pattern cmd_impact.c's run_git_diff() already established) and parses the unified-diff hunk headers into per-file NEW-side changed line ranges. `ref` is validated against argument injection the same way cmd_impact.c's validate_git_ref() already does. git diff's own paths are always repo-root-relative; `git -C dir rev-parse --show-prefix` supplies the repo-root-to-`dir` prefix, stripped off each path so a --dir pointing at a subdirectory of a larger repo still lines up with cfusa_finding_t.file's dir-relative convention. - cfusa_report_filter_to_changed_lines(rpt, changed): removes every finding whose (file, line) isn't in any changed range and recomputes error_count/warning_count/info_count/dispositioned_count from what remains. A finding with line <= 0 (directory/file-level findings like FUSA001/HARA001) is always kept. Unlike disposition/baseline suppression (which keeps a finding visible but excludes it from the gate), this genuinely filters the report. A bad ref (or --dir not a git repo) fails loudly with exit 2 rather than silently reporting against an unfiltered/unknown diff. 12 new regression tests in tests/test_gitdiff.c: ref-validation rejection (mirroring test_impact.c's style), unit-level filter coverage (in-range/out-of-range/line-zero/dispositioned-count recompute), and end-to-end coverage against a REAL scratch git repo with two commits -- proving a pre-existing finding on an untouched line is dropped, a genuinely new finding on a changed line survives, and a bad ref returns 2. (Also fixed two CodeQL-shaped findings caught by this repo's own self-check while writing the tests: CFUSA-CY003 flags any system()/exec*() call whose argument isn't a literal at its own call site -- both the test file's system() calls and gitdiff.c's own execvp() needed restructuring to keep the literal command name directly visible at the call site, matching cmd_impact.c's/ test_comp.c's own established patterns for this exact situation.) 44/44 pre-existing test suites plus test_gitdiff.c all pass. Self-check clean (0 errors). This is issue #209 from the architecture-improvement plan (#203-#213).
