Plan: phased move from GitHub to Codeberg

We want to move toward Codeberg over time, but not at the cost of contributor friction or project momentum.

Current state

• GitHub stays primary for now
• Codeberg stays as a mirror
• Issues and pull requests continue on GitHub

Why

The project is still in an early stage, and GitHub currently gives us:

• better discoverability
• lower friction for contributors
• more familiar workflows for occasional drive-by contributions

Long-term direction

Codeberg is the likely long-term home, but we will switch only when the project is mature enough that the move will not disrupt contributors or reduce momentum.

What needs to happen before switching

• stronger documentation
• more predictable maintainer workflow
• a more established contributor base
• less reliance on GitHub for discovery

For now

Nothing changes for contributors. Please continue to use GitHub as usual.

We will revisit this decision later and communicate any future migration clearly and in advance.
