Managing maps #200
|
Hi, Great work on this. I am wondering if there's a way to manage the maps via the local server. For example, adjusting room boundaries, adding no go zones, etc. Thanks |

Short answer: Not through the local server, it has no map-management surface. What it implements is the account and protocol side of Roborock's cloud: region, time, location, nc/prepare, the login/verification-code endpoints, app config/plugins, key signing, and the device protocol listener. That endpoint set contains nothing map-related. What the server does for maps is keep them alive. The whole premise is that the vacuum keeps live maps on your LAN because Roborock otherwise routes all map data through their cloud. The server stands in for that cloud so the existing map loads and updates locally; it does not add an editor on top of it. Editing geometry stays in the official app. So for now, adjusting room boundaries or adding no-go zones means doing it in the Roborock app and letting the vacuum store the result. The local server will serve that map, but it will not let you write one. I hope I have answered your question. |
