Industrial Evidence Chain is a permissioned blockchain-backed platform designed for capturing, preserving, and independently verifying tamper-evident digital evidence of critical industrial events.
In manufacturing facilities, process plants, and heavy engineering environments, operational events such as preventive machine maintenance, breakdown repairs, safety audits, pressure vessel inspections, and asset transfers are frequently logged in disparate systems—ranging from physical paper logbooks and Excel spreadsheets to centralized Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Centralized systems suffer from a fundamental cryptographic vulnerability: any actor with direct database access, elevated credentials, or malicious intent can alter historical maintenance logs, falsify inspection dates, or manipulate safety records retrospectively without leaving an unforgeable audit trail.
Industrial Evidence Chain resolves this trust deficit not by replacing existing ERP or CMMS software, but by introducing a dedicated, immutable, cryptographic evidence and verification layer.
- Machine Maintenance: Scheduled spindle calibrations, lubrication records, mechanical overhauls.
- Preventive Maintenance: Sensor cleaning, belt tension adjustments, filter replacements.
- Breakdown Maintenance: Emergency repairs, root-cause analyses, motor rewind logs.
- Equipment Inspection: Visual inspections, ultrasonic flaw detection, tolerance verification.
- Safety Inspection: Emergency stop circuit testing, fire suppression audits, relief valve checks.
- Quality Inspection: Surface roughness tests, coordinate measuring machine (CMM) reports.
- Compliance Audit: ISO 9001/ISO 45001 audits, OSHA statutory safety logs.
- Incident Reporting: Near-miss logs, hazardous leak investigations, failure reports.
- Spare Part Replacement: Bearing replacements, critical component serial number bindings.
- Asset Transfer: Inter-bay machine relocation, custody handovers, decommissioning logs.

- PostgreSQL: Stores relational operational metadata (assets, users, activity descriptions, timestamps, media references, and audit logs). Large file binaries are never stored directly in the database.
- Off-Chain Storage: Encrypted object storage (local file system adapter / Azure Blob Storage) stores heavy evidence files (high-resolution photographs, thermographic scans, vibration acoustic audio, and calibration certificates).
- Hyperledger Fabric: Permissioned enterprise blockchain storing strictly cryptographic proofs (evidence UUID, asset code, 64-character SHA-256 digest, block timestamp, transaction ID, and cryptographic signer reference).
