I use this feature a lot in Claude Code. there are two main issues with it, once you add a dir to the session, there isn't a manager UI to control the dirs, that said, you can't list what dirs you already added, or you can't remove a dir once you are done with it. you have to completely kill the agent and come back

sometimes you don't need a persistent dir in your project, maybe you only need to extend you codebase context because a dependency on another repo requires attention. for persistent dirs the concept of workspace with even his own configuration file (like when using vs code) suits better IMO

would be great if you can take ideas from this and do something better in kimi code, not just a copy-paste
