Compatible Bracket for Rackmate TT

No 'issue' but I have the Deskpi Rackmate TT and need some clarity on the approach before I contribute any files

The bracket is 170x89(2U) with 2 standard labstack openings but as you can see there is not enough room for a 3rd bay so I made a smaller (half labstack? its 20.666mm wide) so the questions are.

• Is it useful to keep the smaller opening for shenanigans?
• If its best to only have 2 openings should they be equal distance from the side and each other or should they be in the middle as close together as the other brackets have it?
• Am I missing a trick to make this space even more useful?

Off the top of my head, that space looks like a decent spot to put a 2.5" SSD slot with a USB adapter to one of the nearby Pi's (assuming you're using Pi's), but otherwise I'm not sure what would be tall and skinny enough to be useful there. I would also probably drop it to just being one screw top and one screw bottom rather than squishing 4 into that little space.

Also, not sure there's enough room to do it, but you MIGHT be able to squeeze 2x LabStack slots in horizontally on one side and a single LabStack slot vertically as it sits, then just use 2 of the Pi modules on their sides (or other similar modules, of course).

As far as spacing goes, there's no perfect answer - I just spaced them evenly across for both 10" and 19".

I took a look again... Horizontally would not work at all without risking putting screws into the sides of the rack so I ruled that out.

After some thinking I thought of maybe keystone one on top of the other which would be cool! But I like the harddrive idea.

Oh also a hat-less Pi Zero fits and I was thinking about making a pi camera holder where the v1-2-3's would just slip in and the ribbon cable can have a gap to go through

Keystones are a great add - not sure why I didn't think of that myself! The camera idea is also clever... endless possibilities!
