Official vs non-official alpine routes

I'm not sure I have all the information needed to elaborate on this issue, but Eliya mentioned that the official swiss maps shows only "official" routes, which as far as I understand are "safer" to do.
Eliya mentioned that some routes in Mapeak may require special equipment such as ice axes or special boots, and it's not safe to plan a route that will go through them without the proper equipment.
He mentioned something about T2-T4 route coloring vs T5-T6 coloring too.

He said that for him, it's great to see these routes as he can plan to do those with the proper equipment and planning, but it might be worth showing them differently on the map to indicate that "it's not the same".
I'm not sure I have a proper solution for this, or fully understand this feedback, but I did want to write it down.

There are two separate issues here:

Official vs. non-official

This is a general issue, not only in Switzerland. It is not clear what defined "official" vs. "unofficial" in different geographies and jurisdictions. As a result, Mapeak does not claim to pass any judgement.

SAC Scale

The current path/cycleway/footway symbology is already complex. It is not clear how the additional information would be shown clearly enough on the map.

sac_scale is the OSM attribute corresponding to the T1-T6 scale of the Swiss Alpine Club. It is not included in the current vector tiles schema. An online-only solution could be based on an overpass layer. A solution for offline would require an enhancement of the schema.
