Hard to see/plan long running routes

This is a feedback from Eliya about his ability to see routes that are "longer" on the map.
His comparison is to outmap which routes visibility can be seen in lower zoom levels, for example this one:

The problem statement is that when zooming out in order to see "long lines" so he could plan a long run, they are not visible.
I did a very basic test and saw that I can plan a route of about 5Km on the screen when seeing footways and paths.

This might be the case for bike riders as well, but I'm not sure, I never got this kind of feedback from a bike rider.

It is interesting to see how paths and other map details are represented in different zoom levels. Please provide a link to the 3rd party map.

Adding paths to lower zoom levels will increase the tile sizes impacting the delay in online viewing and offline map storage.
