[Bug] Cannot log in to niconico

Describe the bug

I tried to log in using my email address and password, but it would not proceed past this screen.

Also, when I try to log in with my Google account, I get an error message saying “Your browser does not support JavaScript or JavaScript is disabled".

The same “JavaScript is disabled” error occurs when trying to log in using other services.

If I am already logged in to YouTube, I get an error message saying “Access blocked: This request is blocked by Google's policy".

Try NicoNico login from PipePipe menu.

There are known issues with logging in to NicoNico and other services in PipePipe. The app currently uses a cookie-based login system, and recent changelogs specifically warn users not to log in right now due to a bug that causes all videos to be limited to 360p—this is still being investigated by the team (source).

The “JavaScript is disabled” error when trying to log in with Google or other services is likely because the app’s login flow does not support JavaScript-based authentication, which is required by many modern OAuth providers. The “Access blocked: This request is blocked by Google's policy” message suggests that Google’s security policies are preventing the app from completing the login process, which is a common issue for third-party apps that don’t use a fully supported OAuth flow.

There isn’t a documented workaround for these issues right now. If you need to use NicoNico or YouTube features that require login, you may want to wait for a future update that addresses these bugs. For now, logging in is not recommended due to the risk of degraded video quality and persistent login failures.

As I commented before, it's not a PipePipe issue but relates to your device. You need to check some system settings like webview implementation.

Close since we can't support device specific issues.
