[Bug] Video doesn't get scaled correctly when fullscreen is enabled

Describe the bug
As the title says when I try to fullscreen some videos the video content doesn't get scaled to fill the entire screen. Just roughly 1/4th of the screen is filled with the actual video content an the rest stays black.

As a work around it works to switch back and forth between fullscreen and normal view mode a couple of times.

The bug does not happen every time but quite often.

Steps to reproduce the bug
Fullscreen any video but it's kinda intermittent.

Device (e.g. Pixel 9 Pro)
Poco X3 NFC

Error report
None.

Additional context
This could be a device specific bug. I will check on a secondary smartphone.

Try disabling Media tunneling
Settings<advanced<exoplayer settings<disable media tunneling.

No it's still happening on this device even with the tunneling disabled. It doesn't seem to happen on a different device though (Moto G).

Okk , go to settings<player<enable advanced format and toggle off avc option and try again.

When playing hdr video this happens to me in vlc player but we can try .

Decoder issue will result in full black screen or a crash so it's unlikely the problem.

For me, it looks like TeamNewPipe/NewPipe#7262.
Is your system Android 12?

After updating to this build, fullscreen fails to maximize on first click And screen looks like this on first click:

you need to click fullscreen button again and it is working

After changing setting Works like 9/10 times, sometimes still fails and stays same size like on vertical mode
