A configuration section must begin with the name of the language, and an extension must be added to specify which adapter to use.
For example, [c.gdb] or ["c++".lldb]; however, the extension name can be chosen freely.
If multiple adapters have been configured per language, the adapter to be used must be selected from a dialog when starting the debugging session.
The list of configuration parameters has been expanded to include tcp_max_retry, tcp_retry_delay, and enable_logging.
This means that logging is disabled by default but can be enabled per adapter.
tcp_max_retry is set to 10 by default and tcp_retry_delay to 500 ms
The user interface has been modified to include only two dialogs: “debugview” for displaying all variables, breakpoints, etc.,
and the console, which now features an input field to execute REPL-like functions.
For example, when using gdb, commands such as “info threads,” “p variables,” etc., can be entered.
