Will there be updating the mny file while Money has the MNY file opened in the future?

I saw msmquote mentioned when I was searching for MSMoneyQuotes. When looking at the README.md, it says that it can only update a mny file that is not opened by Money at the same time, will there be a way to update the MNY file while Money has it opened like MSMoneyQuotes does now in the future?

Hi, there are no immediate plans to allow msmquote to update an open Money file, although this functionality could be looked at in the future.

Thanks for the reply. It would be a awesome feature since it would be great to see the latest portfolio value in money as soon as the quotes are fetched without having to close Money reading the mny file first.

As I have MsMoney open permanently, I would love to have this feature implemented. However, as the first feature request was opened in 2022, I wonder if it will be looked at in a near future. Too bad...

The issue here is that, as far as I can tell, neither Money nor jackcess (the library used by msmquote to update the Money database), offer a means to lock the Money database while msmquote is running. So running msmquote with Money open, in my view, would introduce the possibility of corrupting the Money database.
